Gulshan, with its serene environment and vibrant community spirit, stands as one of Dhaka’s most desirable neighborhoods. Yet even in this bustling hub, the city’s fast pace often leaves little room for children to have dedicated play spaces. Recognizing this need, Shanta Holdings took a major step to bring joy to the city's youngest residents by fully redesigning and revamping the Kids Zone at Gulshan Society Lake Park. This much needed initiative was taken by the Gulshan Society.
The brand-new Kids Zone features a large green turf, cycling track, an assortment of imported play equipment such as slides, swings, jungle gyms, seesaws, monkey bars, spring horses, sand box, a large tree house and more. A colorful art wall by a local artist has also been created, adding to its vibrancy. The zone has been designed to nurture children’s curiosity, physical, cognitive, social-emotional and creative development. Offering them an engaging, safe and fun space to play, explore and learn.
It was officially inaugurated on 31st August, by Maj. Gen. Siddikur Rahman Sarkar (Retd.), Chairman of RAJUK, in presence of Mr. M. Habibul Basit, Chief Executive Officer of Shanta Holdings and Dr. ATM Shamsul Huda, immediate past President of Gulshan Society. Families are now able to enjoy this vibrant playground, a breath of fresh air amidst the city’s urban landscape, offering a much-needed oasis for children.
Shanta always strives to make a positive impact on the well-being of the community, which aligns with their goal of creating a more livable and sustainable society for all. The new Kids Zone, sponsored and developed by Shanta, stands as another testament to this value of serving the community.
